During the weekend (January 13th-14th), Menter Iaith Conwy will be part of Venue Cymru, Llandudno\u2019s Take Part event. Menter Iaith Conwy will be launching their Welsh Medium Education, \u2018Best of Both Worlds\u2019 Booklet.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n

When applying for your child\u2019s school place it is well worth considering the benefits a Welsh medium education can offer. \n<\/p>\n\n

The booklet offers a guide to the benefits of bilingualism, dispels certain myths, offers case studies and also signposts to further Welsh language resources and organisations that could be of help for families in their journey of introducing the Welsh language to their child. \n<\/p>\n\n

Along with the Booklet, further information can be found on our new website Conwy County Welsh Education<\/a><\/span>. There, you\u2019ll be able to see a digital copy of the Welsh Education Booklet<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n\n

Menter Iaith Conwy would like to thank Sion Jones for designing the Booklet, for the families who shared their experiences of Welsh Education and to everyone else who contributed in any way. Thank you also to Cronfa Glynd\u0175r<\/a> <\/span><\/i>and Conwy County Borough Council Education Department for their financial support. <\/span><\/i><\/p><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n

As part of the launch, on Saturday, January 13th at 11:15am, the In Character Show, The Welsh Language- What a Journey will be held in the Hall at Venue Cymru.Then, on Sunday, January 14th in the Lecture Room, the newsreader, Maxine Hughes will be giving a talk. Originally from Conwy County, Maxine Hughes now lives in the USA but still uses the Welsh language in her work and at home with her children – and sees the benefit of speaking the Welsh language. \n<\/p>\n\n

Remember to come along to Venue Cymru over the weekend to learn more about Welsh Education and to enjoy the various activities that have been organised for you. <\/p>\n\n
