Bocswn

What is Bocswn?

A project that was founded originally in Anglesey, that provides sessions and opportunities for children and young people to learn how to play in a band, compose music, record and have fun! For several years now, we, here at Conwy have adopted the project, and not only offer community sessions, but can also offer sessions in primary and secondary schools.

The project is funded by The Arts Council.

The main aim of Bocswn is to encourage and incite interest in Welsh language music and give an opportunity for children and young people to compose and create their own Welsh language music and also give an opportunity for them to experiment with instruments and new technology!

There are personal and social benefits for Bocswn – they’re able to express themselves, encourage creativity and improve self confidence and self respect.
